• Owens Corning recently announced that its award-winning EcoTouch Insulation is the first fiberglass insulation to be certified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as a biobased product. The certification is part of a USDA Biobased labeling initiative to identify products with ingredients made from renewable plant materials.

Procurement and Products

Ninety-five percent of all federal contracts will have green requirements, such as products must contain non-ozone depleting and recycled content, and must be non-toxic or biobased in general, under Executive Order 13514. This section contains information about "green" purchasing and products.
